§1 — Intended Interpretation of the Network Rules Are the Rules

The intended interpretation of the Network Rules is the rules users should follow and use.

§1.1 Network Rules are to be followed by both their intended interpretation and by the interpretation of the conventions staff members who enforce said Network Rules use. Violations of the Network Rules in the eyes of staff members will result in a restriction in accordance with the related convention for interpreting the Network Rules.

Waived if — §1.1aThe staff member's judgment was inaccurate and not in accordance with the interpretation of the Network Rules held by administrators. An administrator's interpretation will suffice to waive the punishment.
Waived if — §1.1bA facade involving a user or staff member that concluded in the punishment of those involved will be waived.

§1.2 Loopholes in the Network Rules abused by offenders or "technical" offenders will be considered violations of the Network Rules, and punishment will be issued in accordance with the severity of the intended violation.

Waived if — §1.2aThe loophole used can be considered not severe, and a punishment can be negated or reduced appropriately.
Waived if — §1.2bThe loophole could be used for the betterment of the Korvoxel community, as dictated by administrators (overridable by Network owners).

§1.3 Disagreement with a staff member's interpretation of the Network Rules must not be disputed on any public chat platform (public Minecraft chat, forum posts, public Discord servers, or social media). Discrepancies may be discussed privately among friends or with server administrators. Interpretations can only be changed by the owners of the Korvoxel Network, not by public pressure.

Waived if — §1.3aDisagreement and public discussion results in the staff/administrator's interpretation being found incorrect.

§1.4 Abuse of §1 is not allowed. Appellants pretending to have interpreted the Network Rules in a way that was not the intended interpretation will not receive a better chance at appeal. Abuse of §1 results in instant appeal denial and an extended suspension.

Waived if — §1.4aThe accused is found to have genuinely interpreted the rules incorrectly, leading to their punishment. Concrete evidence is required, as discerned by Korvoxel administration.

§2 — All Methods of Cheating Are Prohibited

The use of an unfair advantage in areas of the server that do not allow unfair advantages is disallowed.

§2.1 All methods of cheating (unfair advantages via third-party programs or exploits) are not allowed where cheating is disallowed. Violations will result in a temporary suspension from the entire Korvoxel Network.

§2.2 Evading restrictions instructed by the rules is strictly prohibited and will result in an extended or more comprehensive restriction. Consistent violations of §2 will result in a permanent suspension.

Waived if — §2.2aSufficient evidence proves the accused did not cheat, as discerned by staff, administrators, or owners.

§2.3 Through the appeal process, offenders can have restrictions removed if their account of events checks out. However, if found to have cheated and lied in their appeal, offenders can receive extended restrictions for attempting to claim false innocence.

Waived if — §2.3aAfter an appeal is denied for containing fallacies, and those fallacies are later proven accurate with no other reason for punishment to stand.

§2.4 All third-party programs that alter how the game works to provide an unfair advantage are strictly prohibited and will result in a temporary or permanent suspension depending on severity.

Waived if — §2.4aThe advantage in question is, in the future, no longer considered unfair.
Waived if — §2.4bThe reasoning for use is considered justified, as discerned by owners or administrators.

§3 — Display or Description of Mature or Inappropriate Content Publicly Is Strictly Prohibited

The use of derogatory or mature content on all public chats is disallowed.

§3.1 Public use of derogatory language, or use of 2SLGBTQIA+, religious, political, or related descriptions as a placeholder for derogatory language, is strictly forbidden — resulting in a temporary mute across public and guild chat.

§3.2 Public display of mature, sexual, or NSFW content or language is strictly forbidden — resulting in a temporary mute across all public chat spaces.

§3.3 Bypassing chat moderation with placeholder messages to evade the automatic filter is strictly forbidden — resulting in a temporary mute.

Waived if — §3.3aThe message wasn't intended to bypass the filter and meant something else. Repeated unique "bypasses" found to be abuse of this exception will extend the punishment under §1.2.

§3.4 Sending toxic, non-playful messages (death threats, DDoS threats, harassment, or related) into public chat results in a temporary mute.

Waived if — §3.4aThe recipient confirms the accused wasn't being serious and no harm was intended.

§3.5 Public display of content inappropriate for a younger audience (or any audience) is strictly forbidden — resulting in a temporary mute.

Waived if — §3.5aThe content's appropriateness genuinely depends on the circumstances it was viewed in.

§3.6 Public discussion of sensitive topics, such as real-world political views or controversial subjects, will result in a temporary or permanent removal of the ability to contribute to public chat.

Waived if — §3.6aThe topic wasn't as controversial as the enforcing staff member perceived.
Waived if — §3.6bThe political view wasn't as extreme as the enforcing staff member perceived.

§3.7 Disrespect toward a Staff Member or Content Creator due to their status (not their actions) results in a temporary mute.

Waived if — §3.7aThe disrespect was joking, and the recipient confirms no harm was meant or done.

§3.8 Advertising non-Korvoxel-related services via public chat is strictly forbidden — resulting in a temporary mute.

§3.9 Joking about or threatening to reveal personal information via Korvoxel services is strictly forbidden — resulting in a temporary mute.

§3.10 The use of slurs, discriminative language, or excessive swearing in public chat is strictly forbidden — resulting in a temporary mute.

§4 — Inappropriate Network Behaviour Is Strictly Prohibited

Players' behaviour on the Korvoxel Network is expected to be appropriate at all times.

§4.1 Exchanging resources — such as tasks or in-game items — for real-world benefits or benefits from other games is strictly forbidden, resulting in a temporary or permanent suspension depending on severity.

Waived if — §4.1aThe transaction was approved by the Owners of the Korvoxel Network.

§4.2 Using the Korvoxel Network to conspire a real-world crime is strictly forbidden and results in permanent suspension for all involved (temporary or permanent for suspects). Relevant information will be handed over in case of legal investigation.

§4.3 The use of inappropriate skins and/or cosmetics results in a temporary or permanent suspension.

§4.4 Misusing the player reporting feature to report legitimate players is strictly forbidden, resulting in restricted access to reporting features and possible temporary suspension.

§4.5 Creating immature or inappropriate structures is strictly prohibited, resulting in a temporary suspension.

Waived if — §4.5aThe structure was built by accident with no intention of being immature or inappropriate.

§4.6 All player work is available for administrators to inspect, amend, or delete if illegitimate methods are suspected. Players affected can appeal via Discord or at korvoxel.net/appeals.

§4.7 Publicly releasing another player's personal information (real or fake) results in a temporary chat suspension; more extreme leaks result in a temporary or permanent Network suspension depending on severity.

§4.8 Following a loss, users are not permitted to pursue Staff Members or the Network seeking assistance for a perceived injustice.

Waived if — §4.8aThe user was in a tournament, encountered a cheater who caused their loss, and can provide undeniable proof to an administrator.

§5 — All Users Must Maintain Honest Communication in Appeal & Application Spaces

Honesty is required of all users in appeal and application spaces.

§5.1 Applications and appeals are taken seriously. Any inconsistencies may result in denial.

§5.2 An appeal only results in removal of a suspension if the appellant is found not guilty on all accounts. Partial guilt may alter the suspension's duration; guilt on all (or more) charges will increase it.

§5.3 Abusing the appeal or application systems can result in a temporary or permanent suspension from those systems. Appellants may not appeal the same punishment more than twice.

§6 — Behaviour Towards Staff Members Is Expected to Be Respectful

Staff members are to be treated with respect in all cases.

§6.1 Blackmailing staff members in any way, regardless of intent, is strictly prohibited and will result in an appropriate punishment.

§6.2 Lobbying or attempting to lobby staff members to provide any unfair advantage, regardless of severity, is strictly prohibited and results in suspension from the Network.

Sections on Rule Enforcement, the Appeal Process, and Staff Team Organization are still being finalized and will be added here once complete.
